Position Overview
This role is responsible for **billing and collections** for inpatient and outpatient accounts, resolving patient financial concerns, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement. You will play a key role in supporting patients while also maintaining financial stability for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
+ Process **billing and collections** for multiple payers, ensuring compliance with best practices
+ Analyze and resolve **claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies**
+ Handle incoming **patient inquiries** regarding billing, insurance claims, and payment options
+ Ensure **timely follow-up** to reduce outstanding balances and prevent revenue loss
+ Verify **insurance benefits and patient financial responsibilities** such as co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance
+ Process requests for **medical records, itemized bills, and billing clarifications**
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives to **enhance revenue cycle performance**
Qualifications
Required:
+ **Three to five years** of office clerical experience, with at least **one year** in a **hospital or clinic business office**
Preferred:
+ **Two or more years** of experience in a **hospital or clinic business office**
+ Strong understanding of **insurance claims, billing processes, and revenue cycle management**
