Essential Duties:

1. Display, rotate and sell merchandise to inmates and employees.

2. Safeguard and maintain adequate supply of merchandise.

3. Maintain merchandise in a saleable condition and monitor the cleanliness and appearance of the facility commissary.

4. Assist in the development and implementation of new and revised policies and procedures affecting commissary operations.

5. Participate in monthly inventory preparation and assist with the submittal of inventory reports to accounting.

6. Assist with the verification of the accuracy of shipments received from distribution centers and authorized outside vendors.

7. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.

8. Maintain accountability of inmates and property; adhere to safety practices.

Qualifications:

+ Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED).

+ One (1) year related experience in a commissary or retail sales function preferred.

+ A valid driver’s license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

+ Must successfully complete all annual in-service requirements.
