Forklift Operator / Sit-down Propane

**Location:** Ware, MA 01082

**Shift:** 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

**Pay Rate:** $19/hour

Position Overview

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate handling, shipping, receiving, and storage of packaged products. This includes operating a sit-down propane forklift and supporting general warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

General Operations

+ Operate forklift safely and efficiently

+ Follow all work instructions and complete paperwork accurately

+ Inspect products for damage and report any non-conformances

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and dock areas

+ Take product samples as required and report any contamination

+ Communicate issues clearly to management

+ Enter data accurately into the VMU system

+ Support other warehouse duties as needed

Safety

+ Always follow safety protocols and wear required PPE

+ Report any safety hazards, incidents, or injuries immediately

+ Comply with all workplace safety policies

Requirements

+ Minimum 1 year of sit-down propane forklift experience

+ At least 6 consecutive months of daily forklift use

+ Certified forklift license preferred

+ Valid state driver’s license

+ Must pass a drug test and background check

+ No felony convictions within the past 7 years

+ Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment

Physical Demands

+ Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift as required

+ Frequent use of hands for data entry and equipment operation

+ Must have clear close-range vision

This is a full-time, hourly position. Duties may evolve based on operational needs.
