Position Overview
This Planner is responsible for optimizing, analyzing and delivering best in class service for each product within their complex/diverse product portfolio. They are responsible for collaborating with demand planning, category management, sourcing (both domestically and globally) as well as logistics. The position will participate in the S&OP process to discuss new product launches, product transitions, supplier related issues, capacity plans, pre-builds, and any inventory related activities. The Planner is ultimately responsible for managing and maintaining optimal inventory levels that meet our overall inventory dollar targets, service expectations as set by the business and the respective supply plan goals.
Responsibilities:
+ Identify and implement innovation for continuous improvement within the planning department whether systems or processes.
+ Utilize a high level of business acumen to understand the end to end supply chain and how planning decisions impact other functional areas within the supply chain.
+ Understand how each parameter functions within HSRP and the impact it has on customer service levels as well as inventory levels and warehousing capacities; monitor and update accordingly.
+ Communicate with all levels of management throughout Shaw’s enterprise to understand and tailor communication to target audiences.
+ Autonomous decision making for order placement, and problem solving.
+ Field and answer questions from Business Partners, HS HELP, Category Mgmt, Global Sourcing, Demand Planning and Management.
+ Work in partnership with Sourcing Operations both domestically and globally. Understand Sourcing work processes and recommend collaborative improvements to improve service and inventory. Participate in and identify training opportunities for Planners and/or Specialists.
+ Manage inventory levels in HS distribution centers in order to utilize, optimize and balance inventories when needed.
+ Participate in ESOP Pre Supply Meeting
+ Analyze & manipulate data using quantitative/statistical skills as needed to draw conclusions necessary, identify deficiencies and/or additional data needed for decision making.
+ Plan & requisition from a complex pool of suppliers through the HSRP system to maintain appropriate customer service levels and inventory levels.
+ Participate in meetings as necessary including but not limited to; SPT, Forecast meetings, ESOP and Staff meetings.
+ Publish, monitor and update necessary data through new report creation and/or updating current reporting methods.
+ Understand and calculate Stage Gate Opening Orders.
+ Communicate with Category Management in regard to new and drop products.
+ Maintain daily Planner II & III responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:
+ 4 year degree in Supply Chain or Business related field and 2+ years of supply chain/ operations experience OR 5+ years of experience within supply chain/ operations (preferably planning)
+ Quantitative & analytical skills
+ Math and Statistics Skills
+ Supply Chain knowledge
+ ADvanced spreadsheet knowledge & manipulation skills
+ Complex problem solving capabilities
+ Familiarity with data mining/warehousing
+ Experience using HSRP, Glink/Vista, Peoplesoft, ShawOnline Live (Entry/Modification), Microsoft Excel and M365 Suite
Preferences:
+ 4 year degree preferably in Supply Chain or Business related field
+ Experience with working knowledge of Tableau or other Analytics Visualization tools
+ CPIM and/or CSCP Certification
+ Black Belt Training
Work Shift
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
