WellSpan Medical Group (WMG) is seeking an **_Orthopedic Surgeon_** for their Adams County location. Individual must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine with Doctor of Medicine degree plus completion of a medical residency training program in Orthopedic Surgery. He or she must also be Board Certified/Board Eligible.
Position Highlights:
+ Employed position with WMG
+ General orthopedic call of 1:4
+ Fellowship training in hand/upper extremity _or_ spine preferred
+ Surgery performed at Gettysburg Hospital, the only hospital in Adams County
+ Gettysburg Hospital's busy ED sees approximately 35,000+ patients per year

+ Large referral base of WMG family and internal medicine physicians

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
+ Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
+ Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
+ Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
+ Certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Upon Hire Required and
+ Completion of an appropriate residency program. Upon Hire Required and
+ Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of one or more WellSpan hospitals. Upon Hire Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Clinical skills and knowledge of emergency medicine techniques and occupational medicine.
+ Teaching skills.
