Provides general surgical services to patients.
WellSpan Medical Group is seeking a BE/BC General Surgeon to join WellSpan Surgical Specialists-Chambersburg. WellSpan Health is a nationally recognized, integrated health system that serves twelve counties. Our strategy is team-based and focused on patient safety, quality, and physician well-being.
Position Highlights:
+ Join an experienced & collegial team of 6 physicians.
+ 3 Advanced Practice Providers work collaboratively with the surgeons.
+ Chambersburg Hospital is a busy 274-bed hospital.
+ In addition to the hospital, the physicians operate at a state-of-the-art ASC.
+ Approximately 7,300 surgeries are performed each year.
+ The emergency department sees 54,000+ patients per year.
+ Call is taken from home, shared equally & allows for work/life balance.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
+ Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
+ Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
+ Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
+ Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. Upon Hire Required and
+ Completion of a Surgery residency. Upon Hire Required and
+ Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Upon Hire Required
