Sr Pharmacy Technician (Buyer/Health System)

Job Location: Hospital San Lucas Ponce
Accountabilities:
+ Support Pharmacy Operation Systems: Meditech, and Pyxis. Include, running daily reports, formulary management, monitoring transactions, managing discrepancies, overseeing inventory, and investigating events.
+ Active participation in educational programs offering training for pharmacy and nursing personnel. Maintain up to dated users for Pyxis System and compliance with policies and procedures.
+ Receive, store and ensure that medications are kept in proper conditions and under the required temperature standards by regulations.
+ Responsible for complying and ensuring compliance with all applicable, agencies accreditations, state and federal regulations and policies and procedures for the Hospital.
+ While performing these functions, the pharmacy technician will always be under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisors.
Qualifications:
+ Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technician is required.
+ Active Pharmacy Technician Certification/License for Puerto Rico is required.
+ A minimum of 2 years of previous hospital pharmacy and systems experience is preferred.
+ Must have basic computer skills.
+ Good customer service and communications skills are required.
+ Analytical thinking skills, for decision making for multidisciplinary team users.
+ Fluent in English oral and written is preferred.
+ **Work Schedule: Rotate 7 days a week, day schedule and available to assist out of schedule for emergencies.**

+ May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments.
+ Adheres to all quality guidelines.
+ Works with limited supervision. Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor.
+ May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members.
