As a key member of Agency Services, this position exists to support the work of the Minnesota Department of Education's (MDE). This position serves as the primary resource for all mail room, supply management, copy center, and facilities services for the agency. This role is the primary backup for the agency's receptionist and will have the opportunity to demonstrate excellent customer service by answering calls from the main line and greeting and directing visitors.
In addition, driving is an essential function of this position, as applicants will be required to move and maintain the agency's fleet vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications

+ Work experience in a customer service role with employee interactions and customer relationships.
Experience must include:
+ Customer service skills sufficient to answer emails, phone calls, refer callers, and greet visitors with courtesy and respect;
+ Ability to drive vehicles and maintain a valid, Class D (basic) driver's license. A driver's license check is required.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Demonstrated organizational and time management skills to prioritize and execute daily activities.
+ Previous experience working as a receptionist or in a front office environment.
+ Previous experience working in a mailroom or shipping/receiving operation.
+ Previous experience in inventory and supply ordering.
Physical Requirements
+ Position requires the ability to lift 35 pounds on a recurring basis.
