+ DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

+ A person under the supervision of the Manager of Pharmacy and/or Pyxis Pharmacist Designee who focuses on the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Pyxis Medstation system. This individual also assists the Manager of Pharmacy in scheduling and evaluation of the other pharmacy technicians.

+ QUALIFICATIONS

+ Professional/Educational

+ Current pharmacy technician licensure issued by the State of Illinois (20 for Certified Tech hour CEU's included) with biennial renewal.

+ Current Pharmacy Technician certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health Career Association (EXCPT)

+ Personal

+ Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, diplomacy, and honesty.

+ Demonstrates leadership, responsibility, and teaching ability.

+ Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.

+ Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

+ Willingness to work closely with Nursing staff.

+ Demonstrates excellent computer literacy and communication skills

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
