    Note: This is an onsite role at the Orange County Advanced Power Station in Texas. If the selected candidate is outside of the local area, relocation would be required to qualify for this role. Relocation assistance is not available for this posting.

    Job Summary/Purpose

    The Production Supervisor, is an onsite role at the Orange County Advanced Power Station in Texas. The position directs and supervises a team of operations and maintenance personnel at the combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant. The primary responsibilities include overseeing plant operations, responding to start-up and dispatch requests, and assigning/directing operations and maintenance work during shifts. The role involves hiring and training a team of high-performing Production Technicians to ensure safe and reliable operations during commissioning and commercial operation. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously evaluating all processes and programs associated with the newly constructed CCGT plant. Key duties include utilizing lessons learned to refine operating procedures, training plans, unit parameters, alarm management, and maintenance strategies. The position also involves networking with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partners to meet commissioning and testing schedules, providing technical leadership for troubleshooting, and managing assigned projects.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities

    + Ensures Safe work practices that comply with all OSHA and Entergy Safety Processes. Provides Compliance oversight relating to NERC and Environmental requirements.

    + Provides direct supervision to hourly multi-craft employees during a rotating 12 hour shift.

    + Ensures that all dispatch directives are met within operational guidelines for 12 hour rotating shift.

    + Ensures all required maintenance is performed according to assigned shift schedule.

    + Provides and supports budget/project development and cost control.

    + Provides contract management/contractor oversight.

    + Responsible for hiring a team of high performing Production Technicians and training them to be ready to assume safe and reliable operations during commissioning and at the plant’s commercial operation date.

    + Responsible for the complete program build out and ownership of all assigned processes/programs associated with a newly designed and constructed Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. Duties will include design, develop, implement, and continually evaluate programs for which they are responsible for by utilizing metrics and review of key results.

    + This position is directly responsible for leading and supporting a team of Production Technicians that will participate in pre-commercial commissioning activities, engage with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partners to ensure highest standards are deployed, and assume control/ownership of the site at the commercial operations milestone date.

    + Utilize prior lessons learned and site pre-commissioning lessons learned to refine and improve operating procedures, training plans, unit operating and bid parameters, alarm management, surveillance testing, work management strategies, and all Operations/Maintenance fundamentals.

    + Responsible for networking with EPC partners and the project team to meet commissioning/testing schedules and resource needs.

    + Provides leadership and technical direction for unit troubleshooting and liaise with vendors, OEMs, and internal/external subject matter experts to improve team and site performance.

    + Ensures all site commissioning and testing reports and turnover packages are received and stored in accordance with the records management policy.

    + Responsible for project and contract management of assigned projects including scope development, project execution, budget estimates, contractor oversight, cost tracking/reporting, and project close out.

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum education required of the position

    + High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

    Minimum experience required of the position

    + 5+ years of Power Plant Operations/Maintenance Experience.

    + Desired: Experience with CCGT, I&C as well as DCS Controls.

    + Desired: Ability to operate and knowledge of Unit Control Board.

    + Desired: Previous experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants. Previous control room operator experience.

    Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

    + Should possess excellent oral, written and computer skills. Ability to build strong team through leadership and interpersonal skills is a must.
