    Position: Family Resource Specialist

     

    Program: Office

Our Foster Parent Recruiter ensures a pool of available local foster parents ready to care for children when the call comes.

     

    + Create awareness of the need for local foster parents via paid and unpaid advertising, and by representing KidsPeace in community-based activities and events to create visibility about foster care

    + Recruit, interview, and evaluate foster parent candidates according to state and KidsPeace requirements.

    + Participate in training efforts to teach those parents the skills and knowledge about the foster care system and the children we serve

    + Support foster parent recognition, retention and satisfaction through various office and community events

    + Fundraise and create awareness of the ongoing need of resources and supports for local foster youth

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human services degree required;

    + Prior experience in foster care, adoption, or other family serving systems preferred

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Basic Computer skills

    + Valid Driver’s license and registered vehicle-able to work independently in the field

    + Must be 21

     

    Pay: $15.25 - $21.00 an hour (Based on relatable experience)
