Description

We are looking for an **Operating Room (OR) Assitant** **Nurse Manager with BSN and two+ years of experience for our Ambulatory Surgery Center** responsible for being a capable clinician who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population and routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations. This RN professional can apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice and use this knowledge to personalize care for each patient/family while serving as a resource to colleagues and strong advocate for them.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.

+ Master of Science in Nursing preferred.

+ Five years of nursing experience.

+ Current RN license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board required.

+ BLS certification required.

+ ACLS may be required in some areas.

Ambulatory Surgery Center at EUH Clinic (Bldg B)

+ **Number of Rooms** : 6

+ **Nursing scope of practice** : GI with Colorectal procedures, General, ENT, GYN, Urology, Surgical Oncology, Ophthamology (Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, Plastics and Muscle) and Pediatrics

+ **Daily patient population** :Between 25-35, depending on procedures scheduled

+ **Staffing Hours** : 6a-4:30p Pre op, 7a-5:30p OR and PACU. Hours may vary depending on cases and/or schedule needs.

+ **Other Info** : Travel to other Emory ASC’s is **REQUIRED** . There is a 6-week orientation period.
