    Our client, a leader in property management, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the operations team supporting various properties. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Building Engineer

    **Location:** Jacksonville, FL

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Perform technical and mechanical functions as directed by the Regional Operations Manager to ensure maximum efficiency and service to the building and its tenants.

    + Conduct daily local travel between properties to perform troubleshooting and repairs of facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical tasks (company vehicle included)

    + Assist with installation and alterations of building equipment systems while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

    + Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.

    + Interact with tenants professionally and respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + High School Diploma or GED with technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing.

    + At least three years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance.

    + Familiarity with fire/life safety equipment and procedures.

    + Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact successfully with tenants, vendors, and contractors.

    + Universal Certification and a valid, clean driving record.
