    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Legal Order Processing Specialist** to join our **Judgment Processing Department** . This role is critical in ensuring compliance with federal and state legal orders, securing client funds, and maintaining the integrity of legal document processing. You will be responsible for interpreting complex legal documents, executing account holds, and preparing formal responses to courts and attorneys. This position also serves as a control point in the manager’s absence, ensuring smooth departmental operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Conduct immediate and complex account searches in response to legal orders.

    + Interpret and apply federal/state statutes to secure funds and place account holds.

    + Prepare and file formal responses to legal complaints on behalf of litigation counsel.

    + Log and track legal documents in internal systems (JPex), ensuring accuracy and accountability.

    + Collaborate with attorneys, legal departments, and internal teams to resolve fund release issues.

    + Perform quality control reviews on high-risk, large-dollar legal orders.

    + Ensure compliance with legal order remittance deadlines and confidentiality requirements.

    + Review and process court-ordered settlements and fund releases.

    + Maintain accurate records and assist with offsite record preparation.

    + Support daily operations, including APA balancing and reporting.

    + Act as department lead in the manager’s absence, overseeing workflow and escalations.

    Required Qualifications:

    + 2+ years of experience in a financial institution or legal processing environment.

    + Strong knowledge of legal documents, garnishments, levies, and court orders.

    + Proficiency in banking systems (e.g., Hogan, CIS, View Direct) and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Experience with general ledger entries and balancing procedures.

    + High attention to detail and accuracy in a high-risk, high-volume environment.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

    + Familiarity with federal and state banking regulations and confidentiality protocols.

    + Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to perform 10-key input by touch.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience with JPex, Lotus Notes, and legal document management systems.

    + Knowledge of banking products and services.

    + Prior experience in quality control or risk management roles.
