Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Storage Software Engineer to join one of our largest financial service clients and sit in Salt Lake City Utah 5x a week. This individual will be joining the Storage Software Engineering team as they are seeking an experienced Tools Developers to work in a vibrant, exciting environment to create tools to enable and optimize our client's production platforms. They are looking for this developer to design and implement new tools to automate and integrate storage provisioning problem resolution, capacity reporting, configuration management, and performance management. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing feature-complete toolsets across many different disciplines as well as being a self-starter interested in working in a busy and dynamic environment where quality, attention to detail, customer service, and a professional manner are essential values. The candidate must also be able to communicate with other departments to improve existing tools and determine new solutions, ensure the consistent and error-free operation of all tools, and introduce new frameworks to accelerate development lifecycles.

Skills and Requirements

- 5+ years of professional experience in Java as a Software Engineer

- Previous experience with RESTful web services

- Excellent object oriented or functional analysis and design skills.

- Experience with automated unit and integration testing

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience

- Effective communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. - Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development

- Understanding of block storage

- Good understanding of enterprise level change, incident, and problem management processes.

- Automation utilizing scripting languages like bash, Python and/or Perl.

- Understanding of how to troubleshoot basic Unix/Linux problems. null
