How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Join our mission to towards a sustainable future as part of the Sustainability Analytics team at Delta.
Engage in pivotal projects that propel us toward achieving Net-Zero carbon emissions by 2050. Our team operates within two main domains: Data Enablement and Analytics, where you will play a critical role in eliminating our climate impact from flying.
Though individual responsibilities will vary by function, some examples are given below:
+ Data Analysis & Strategy Support: Dive into sustainability-related operational data to uncover insights, supporting our data strategy and contributing to the Carbon Council and broader Global Sustainability initiatives.
+ Data Discovery & Pipeline Assistance: Assist in the development of data pipelines to streamline our analytics processes.
+ Reporting & Dashboard Development: Create, automate, and maintain various reports and dashboards, having ownership of both front-end and back-end responsibilities.
+ Script Evaluation & Improvement: Assess current scripts for efficiency and accuracy, offering recommendations for enhancements to optimize performance.
+ Documentation: Thoroughly document all existing scripts, workflows, and data structures, ensuring clarity and accessibility for both technical and non-technical team members.
+ Ad-hoc Support
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution
+ At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
+ Must be able to work on a full-time basis for 3 alternating semesters: Fall 2025, Summer 2026, and Spring 2027
+ This position requires student to work for 3 alternating semesters. Student cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op/Intern at the same time, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters
+ Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the Co-op
+ Working as a Co-op/Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. This position is intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce
+ Proficiency in any scripting programming language (Python, Bash, PowerShell) is required
+ Experience with SQL or Database querying tools to include ETL and functional knowledge of data modeling is required
+ Experience with Tableau/Power BI is required
+ Experience with common python data libraries
+ Experience with Alteryx
+ Proficiency in basic data analytics
+ Strong computer skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft office suite
+ Strong organizational, project management, and personal management skills
+ Robust verbal and written communication skills at all levels
+ Ability to work well in teams
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and data
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
