Job Summary:

Methodist Healthcare, the leading provider of cardiovascular services in South Texas, is expanding and looking for a lead nurse practitioner or physician assistant to become part of our established and collaborative team in San Antonio, TX.

Job details:

+ Manage and coordinate the healthcare of patients in collaboration with cardiologist

+ Achieve thorough competency in all aspects of stress testing

+ Document, maintain, and review patient records, charts, and other relevant information in the EMR system

+ In collaboration with leadership, develop new programs to optimize clinical care and enable APP development

Qualified Candidates:

+ Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

+ Minimum of 5 years of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) clinical experience

+ At least 3 years of leadership experience (5 years preferred) while maintaining an active patient care practice

+ Eligible for a Texas license

+ Master’s Degree in Nursing (DNP preferred) or Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related discipline

+ Preferred experience in cardiology practice and cardiac inpatient care

+ Preferred in large multisite practice management

+ Preferred experience in managing advanced practice provider leadership or clinical practice management
