The University of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking a full-time, on-campus Institutional Retention Strategist to support student success and retention.
This position leads the implementation, optimization, and campus-wide integration of available success platforms designed to enhance retention and engagement. In addition to generating reports and conducting data analysis, the role involves exploring the integration of these platforms into both traditional campus based programs and the YourPace program. The strategist will also assist with the coordination of available resources to support students and improve success and retention across all modalities, ensuring a holistic approach to student success by leveraging academic support services, technology, and institutional initiatives to foster persistence and achievement.
This position will work closely with all members of the Admissions and Advising teams, Academic Affairs and will maintain relationships with faculty and enrollment-related offices and staff.

The salary for this position is full time, on-campus position $50,000-$60,000. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. Additional benefits include medical, retirement, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience demonstrating the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
+ Strong understanding of student success technologies and retention strategies.
+ Experience with data reporting and analysis for student success initiatives.
+ Ability to train and support faculty, staff, and advisors in using EAB Navigate effectively.
+ Knowledge of Competency-Based Education (CBE) principles and their application in higher education.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Previous experience in higher education, student success and retention, data collection and analysis or related fields preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree.
