La Clinica de Familia (LCDF) is a FQHC with several locations in Southern New Mexico. For over 40 years, we have provided services to the residents of Southern New Mexico. Job Summary:
Oversees Early Head Start operations, ensuring implementation of high quality services to children and families. Follows all Head Start Program Performance Standards, Head Start Act, Healthy Start Bookmarks and Performance Measures, agency and program policies, procedures and other applicable Federal and State regulations, to successfully accomplish agency and program goals and objectives. Works with other program and Administrative staff to assure smooth coordination of services for children and their families.
Core Competencies:
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Working knowledge of nonprofit and federally funded programs
• Working knowledge of health delivery systems (preferred)
• Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities, especially the ability to guide and motivate staff
• Ability to plan, develop and execute business plans
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and teambuilding skills
• High degree of organization and analytical ability
• Strong ability as a team player to receive and provide feedback and manage dynamic interchange in meetings.
• Ability to develop and manage a budget
• Working knowledge of computers including MS Word and use of spreadsheets
• Grant writing experience is required

Job Requirements:
A Master's degree or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or a related field in Family Service. In addition, meets the New Mexico Care Licensing requirements for a Childcare Center Director and has five years of progressively responsible leadership in management and supervision in a Child Development Program, serving children and families.
