About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer to join our TCOO Organization and be part of Regulatory Reporting Technology team working on Platforms Modernization & Regulatory/Compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for full stack design and development by following engineering best practices. Successful applicant will help enhance, build, and deliver frameworks and business application micro services.

In this role, you will:
+ Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
+ Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
+ Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
+ Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
+ Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
+ Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
+ Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing large enterprise technology projects with Java.
+ Provides leadership and mentoring to engineers to grow architecture talent.
Required Qualifications:
+ 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 5+ years experience in designing, building, and delivering cloud-native, micro-services-oriented solutions at an enterprise scale for large financial services.
+ 3+ years of experience researching new technologies, performing proof-of-concepts, and recommending solutions.
+ 5+ years of experience with Capital Markets / Banking / Financial Services
+ 7+ years of experience in Core Java including REST API , Spring boot, data structures, multi-threading and exception handling
+ 5+ years of experience with SQL Server and MongoDB including writing efficient and complex queries and optimizing database performance
Desired Qualifications:
+ Experience working within the regulatory and compliance requirements of the Financial Services Industry.
+ Strong comprehension within the network, compute, storage and database domains.
+ Hands on knowledge with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitHub co-pilot, Harness CD, Artifactory, Apigee integration.
+ Hands on experience with Private Cloud Kubernetes such as OpenShift Container Platform
+ Hands on experience building real-time streaming data pipelines and applications using Kafka, MQ, Solace
+ Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
