Amazon Business is hiring a Principal Finance Manager to lead worldwide finance for our small and medium sized customers (SMB). The role works closely with senior leadership to provide strategic guidance and decision support in this rapidly evolving space. We are looking for an innovative, customer-obsessed, and self-driven leader who is able to distill complex problems into solutions that drive business insights and finance process improvement. You will partner with key business leaders to identify opportunities to drive growth, provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership. This is a high judgment role that requires someone who can execute without structured guidance, navigate ambiguity, communicate at a senior executive level, and effectively deliver results in a fast-paced environment. • Partner with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, build financial frameworks for new product/program launches, develop mechanisms, and promote strong controllership.

• Solve complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, business insights, and recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon.

• Drive and own core financial processes including month end close, annual operating plan, long range strategic plan and monthly/quarterly business reviews.

• Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc data analysis, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including Excel, SQL, and COGNOS.

• Conduct business reviews, evaluate progress towards goals, and communicate progress to senior management.

Basic Qualifications

- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience

- Experience with Tableau, Python, SQB, Quicksight, Cognos or or other BI packages

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA, or CPA

- Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
