• Senior Accountant (Hybrid Position)

    DOCTORS HEALTHCARE PLANS, INC. (Coral Gables, FL)


    Role and Responsibilities:

    + Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.

    + Assist Accounting Manager with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting/Finance department.

    + Prepare and post monthly Journal Entries to the GL.

    + Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements

    + Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, accruals and prepaid expenses.

    + Assist with Budgets and Actual vs Budget analysis.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related fields, required

    + Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting.

    + Attention to detail, accuracy and organization.

    + Proven track record of good communication skills.

    + Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) and Word.

    + Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks; work efficiently with minimal supervision.

    + Experience in healthcare industry preferred but not required.

    + Great Plains accounting system experience preferred but not required.
