The Process Technician will be responsible for developing, monitoring and documenting processes used in the manufacturing of fiber optic cables. The incumbent will assist in the formulation and maintenance of engineering standards and guidelines. This role provides an opportunity to work within the Network Solutions division of Leviton in our Fuquay Varina, NC factory. This position is a weekend night shift position. Working Friday - Sunday from 6:00 pm - 6:00 am. Responsibilities Manage and monitor the manufacture of prototypes. Trouble-shoot existing processes and make the necessary improvements as required for an optimum process. Assist in the development of new products and generation/training of nay-special documents required for its process success. Administer special assignments/projects, utilizing developed expertise leading to increased responsibility. Develop and maintain a knowledge of processes and materials utilized in the manufacture of products in the cable industry. Maintain an above-average or better level of rating on relevant SOPs, MORs, and special assignments. Assist in the design and drawing of tooling and in-put as to the selection of equipment used in the manufacture of cables. Assist with or lead quality improvement projects. Assist with the training and education of floor personnel.
