Northrop Grumman’s Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) organization is seeking a well-qualified Windows/Linux Systems Administrator to join its dynamic Classified Solutions team of technical professionals in Linthicum, MD. Please note that the selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Linthicum, MD campus - this is **not** a remote work opportunity.
Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
+ Serve as the IT Lead for a large, classified government contract(s), overseeing the effective maintenance and operational activities of the entire IT infrastructure including Servers (Windows & Linux), Workstations (Windows & Linux), and networking equipment.
+ Perform as a senior technical resource for the rest of the System Administration team, often taking on the mentorship and guidance of junior level team members.
+ Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in written and verbal formats.
+ Ensure necessary IT projects are completed independently or assigned/delegated to others as necessary.
+ Obtain and analyze internal and external customer requirements and recommend equipment and software as needed, periodically taking on the responsibility of coordinating various vendor quotes necessary to procure equipment and software.
+ Implement system enhancements that will improve the performance, reliability, and security of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
+ Manage backup infrastructure and provide backup and recovery services.
+ Manage virus protection on a routine basis as directed by policy.
+ Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Cybersecurity team.
+ Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions as directed by policy.
+ Develop and maintain technical processes and procedures as needed.
+ Provide technical support/expertise to other classified programs across the campus, as needed, from time to time.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Associate degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 3 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
+ Applicants must have an active DoD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or must be enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP), in order to be considered; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
+ The selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance as a condition of continued employment.
+ A current Security+CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 or 8140 compliant security certification; the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
+ Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds, unassisted.
+ Experience operating under and managing systems within current applicable information systems compliance standards.
+ Experience leading a technical team of IT professionals.
+ Experience mentoring junior level IT professionals.
+ Experience giving technical presentations to technical and non-technical attendees.
+ Experience with communicating with executive leadership.
+ Experience maintaining Classified Windows Domains in effective operations to include advanced knowledge of the following: Microsoft Active Directory (AD) - deployment, maintenance, and support; Group Policy Objects (GPO) - creation, modeling, and maintenance; DNS Server administration; DHCP Server administration; Windows Server Update Servers (WSUS), SCCM, or similar third-party software update system administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience deploying and managing Linux systems (preferably Red Hat) in both a domain-joined and non-domain-joined environment.
+ Experience managing SELinux and FAPolicy on Linux systems.
+ Experience supporting license managers.
+ Experience supporting golden image creation, deployment, and underlying infrastructure.
+ Experience deploying vulnerability scanning tools and remediation.
+ Experience providing surge support to other programs as needed.
+ Ability to travel as needed.
+ Experience with VMWare virtualization platform implementation, migration, and maintenance.
+ Experience with NetApp storage platform implementation, migration, and maintenance.
+ Experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure implementation, migration, and maintenance.
+ Experience with system design and architecture.

Salary Range: $119,200.00 - $178,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
