Biddeford Regional Center of Technologyis seeking an Administrator that is dynamic, creative and skilled to fill ourAssistant Directorposition. We serve approximately 400 students primarily from the following high schools: Biddeford, Old Orchard Beach, Thornton Academy, and the Kennebunks.. Our school offers coursework in the following career clusters: Business Studies, Career Exploration, Computer Technology, Career Exploration and Development, Engineering and Architectural Design, Auto Technology, Residential Carpentry, Electrical Technology, Manufacturing, Welding and Metal Fabrication, Plumbing and Heating, Culinary Arts and Hospitality,Teaching and Education, and Medical/Health Occupations. Qualifications:
+ Maine DOE Certification and CHRC-preferably 045(Building Administrator but minimum an 040 (Assistant Building Administrator; or eligibility for appropriate certification
+ Valid DOE fingerprinting certification
+ Master’s Degree in career and technical education, education or related field preferred
+ Demonstrated experience and success in leadership role(s)
+ Minimum three years experience in secondary Career and Technical Education; a practical knowledge of industrial, technical, and business operations, together with first-hand knowledge of career and technical education/standards is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
This position reports to the Director of BRCOT. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
+ Assist in the supervision and evaluation of all staff and programs;
+ Student discipline and attendance;
+ Acts as a liaison between BRCOT and the sending school staff;
+ Assist in the overall delivery of quality CTE programming, promoting continuous and sustainable school and instructional improvement;
+ Collaboratively works with the Student Services Coordinator and sending schools to coordinate schedules, bussing, and student programs.
+ Coordinates and supports student body-related activities and committees; coordinates and serves as the central resource for all clubs and activities; supports and encourages student involvement in vocational-related student organizations.
+ Assist in the development, implementation, and coordination of middle school CTE programming.
