Job Description
Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is looking for a highly detail-oriented individual to assist in all areas of accounting, including budget preparation and performing reviews of accounts. This position will contribute to Bee Sweet’s Farming Department growth by driving efficient and effective management of revenues, expenses, and accounting processes. This position will report to the Controller of the company. This position also requires the ideal candidate to be reliable, responsible, dependable and fulfill their obligations. The individual should also be able to manage a diverse group of staff with care and consideration. Knowledge of Excel is imperative, as well as other computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Essential Functions
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
+ General ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciling and periodic closings
+ Assist with monthly budgeting/forecasting
+ Various monthly reconciliations
+ Manage Farm Inventory accounts
+ Manage daily accounting processes and staff
+ Crosstrain with various accounting functions (A/P, A/R, Payroll, etc.)
+ Ensure accuracy and collaborate with the Bee Sweet Citrus Accounting Department to streamline processes
Knowledge & Skills
+ Proficiency in Excel; the ability to efficiently convert data into the information necessary for making educated management decisions
+ Ability to think and work independently, while also achieving team-oriented goals.
+ Attention to detail and well organized
+ Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Education & Work Experience Requirements/Preferences
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
+ 3+ years of experience in accounting
+ 1+ years in cost accounting (preferred)
+ Management level experience (preferred)
+ Experience working in the agriculture industry (preferred)
+ Knowledge of “Famous” software (preferred)
Pay Offered/Benefits
+ $75,000-$85,000 annual salary
