    SUMMARY:

    The Warehouse Assistant Supervisor will support the Warehouse Supervisor in daily operations, including organizing inventory, handling materials, and maintaining warehouse processes to ensure the effective flow of goods. This role is vital in assisting with material handling, shipping, receiving, and inventory management, while maintaining a clean and efficient working environment. The Warehouse Assistant Supervisor will also help monitor warehouse productivity and compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing materials and products in the warehouse.

    + Help track and monitor the movement of materials through the warehouse, including organizing materials in their appropriate locations.

    + Assist with the preparation of goods for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and ensuring proper shipping documentation is complete.

    + Participate in cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.

    + Provide support in managing the flow of materials between production and warehouse areas, ensuring materials are staged appropriately for production needs.

    + Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, performing daily housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and ensuring proper material consolidation.

    + Assist in the handling and operation of material handling equipment, such as forklifts (if trained), ensuring safe operation and regular preventive maintenance.

    + Support warehouse team members by responding to immediate needs for material handling, shipping, and receiving tasks.

    + Comply with all safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company policies, ensuring the warehouse environment meets health and safety standards.

    + Assist in the implementation of lean and continuous improvement principles within the warehouse.

    + Collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor to identify and resolve issues related to material shortages, overstock, or any inventory discrepancies.

    + Help maintain accurate records of materials handled, shipments, and warehouse activities in the ERP system.

    + Assist with year-end physical inventory counts and other administrative duties as required.

    + Support the Warehouse Supervisor with any other duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent; additional warehouse or logistics certifications are a plus.

    + Previous warehouse experience or material handling experience preferred.

    + Basic computer skills, including experience with ERP systems (or willingness to learn).

    + Ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    + Familiarity with safety procedures and practices in a warehouse environment.
