*Director Surgical Services West - Poughkeepsie, NY*

*Full-time: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm*

*Summary:*

The Nuvance Health Director for Surgical Services is responsible for providing operational, finance, revenue cycle and administrative leadership for Surgical Services and Anesthesia in Connecticut for the Nuvance Health system. Together with the Director for Surgical Services in CT, s/he will establish performance objectives to ensure the highest standard of excellence in the care, safety and experience of all surgical service patients across Nuvance Health. This position reports directly to the Dyad Partner of the Nuvance Health Surgical Services and indirectly to the Nuvance Health Medical Practice President and the Chair of the Nuvance Health Surgical Services Institute.

*Responsibilities:*

* In partnership with the Director for Surgical Services in CT and the Dyad Partner of Surgical Services, the Director for Surgical Service in NY is responsible for managing the operational organizational structure for Surgical Services in New York and Sharon Connecticut locations, ensuring the delivery of superior surgical services business operations to the patients across Nuvance Health.

* Collaborates with surgical services and anesthesia clinical and administrative leaders to optimize the efficiency of care delivery and identify growth opportunities across the region.

* As the operational director for surgical services and anesthesia, s/he is responsible for establishing operational objectives and priorities across all Connecticut-based surgical services and anesthesia, overseeing local management in the achievement of these goals.

* In partnership with surgical services clinical and administrative leadership, the director assists in the development of the surgical services and anesthesia budgets and the regular review of the business models and business plans.

* Partners with the Director for Surgical Services in CT, surgical services and anesthesia operational management to create a culture that prioritizes quality, patient experience, physician and staff engagement and financial stewardship.

* Leads the implementation of processes and programs aimed at enhancing the success of surgical services and anesthesia across the system.

* Participates in the recruitment of administrative and clinical resources as required to fulfill the goals of Surgical Services.

* Supports the quality, efficiency, and growth activities of Surgical Services.

* Develops and distributes management reports including key metrics for quality, operations, finance/revenue cycle, WRVU productivity, and patient experience.

* Partners with marketing team to enhance current clinical programs and launch new initiatives.

* Models and Maintains Nuvance Health values

* Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $67.86 - $126.03 Hourly, based upon years of related experience
