    School Psychologist LOA Term Position 2025-2026 School Year

     

    Shenendehowa Central School District has an anticipated vacancy and is now accepting applications.     Certifications/Qualifications

    + Valid New York State (NYS) certification as a School Psychologist

    + Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.

    + Experience conducting psychological evaluations, interpreting results, and writing comprehensive reports.

    + Ability to provide individual and group counseling to students with special needs

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.

    + Experience in completing functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans

    + Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and monitor student progress.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations of students

    + Interpret assessment results and write comprehensive reports that inform educational planning.

    + Chair CSE meetings

    + Provide individual and group counseling to students

    + Facilitate behavioral assessments and intervention plans

    + Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student needs.

    + Participate in school-based teams to support a positive school climate.

    + Provide crisis intervention
