    Description

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Conduct regular checks to ensure all areas of the facility are well-maintained, clean, and meet health and safety standards.

    + Oversee the work of custodial team members, providing training on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment.

    + Enforce safety standards, ensuring the proper handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and waste disposal according to regulations.

    + Regularly check custodial equipment for functionality, perform minor repairs, and report major issues for professional servicing.

    + Track and maintain inventory levels of cleaning materials, tools, and equipment, ordering replacements as necessary.

    + Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas are properly cleaned and maintained according to priority.

    + Address urgent cleaning requests, such as spills, accidents, or high-traffic area cleanup, to maintain facility cleanliness and safety.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    + Ability to move around freely in a building, including navigating stairs and ramps, is important.

    + Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.

    + Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions from supervisors.

    + Ability to work independently and take the initiative to complete tasks without constant supervision is often required.

    + Ability to adapt to changes in work assignments and priorities is essential.

    + Ability to identify and solve problems related to cleanliness and safety.

     

    The hourly range for this position is $20.06 to $25.07 based on experience.
