JOB SUMMARY ???????

This role is a licensed athletic trainer who is highly skilled and motivated to support Blessing Health Orthopedic practice. The athletic trainer will work closely with orthopedic physicians, providers, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with a focus on casting/splinting, rehabilitation, and patient education. This role will involve assisting with clinical evaluations, rehabilitation planning, and post-operative care, as well as providing support during patient consultations and treatments. The athletic trainer complies with the Code of Ethics/Standards of Practice as outlined by the their professional organization and by the State of Illinois. This position includes direct patient care, teaching, participation on appropriate committees and departmental process improvement. The Athletic Trainer serves in all aspects of professional, clinical, communication, education and leadership activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

+ Education/Training/Experience:

+ REQUIRED:

+ Possesses a BS degree in athletic training.

+ Experience in the health promotion/wellness and fitness field.

+ Must possess adequate knowledge of health appraisal techniques, risk factor identification and demonstrate knowledge of the principals of fitness and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the athlete's status and interpret the appropriate information.

+ PREFERRED:

+ Current BOC national certification status for athletic training.

+ License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

+ Possesses current Illinois state Athletic Trainer license.

+ Pay Status:

+ NON-EXEMPT HOURLY
