Summary:
Reporting to the Day Services Manager, the Direct Support Professional coaches clients on improving their productivity and their work habits. Adapts daily to client preferences and goals while simultaneously adhering to business and industry standards. Assists with the smooth transition of clients into competitive employment utilizing life skills and job training readiness. Serves as a PCSP team member. Records daily client productivity, tracks attendance, case notes and orders supplies as needed. Maintains both ISO and CARF compliance.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Vocational training or manufacturing experience desirable. Experience working with intellectual/developmental disabled individuals preferred.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Essential Functions:
Works with clients seeking to improve their productivity and their work habits. Functions as job coach of clients in all contract areas. Adapts daily to client preferences and goals while simultaneously adhering to business and industry standards. Assists with establishing client objectives and communicates changes to the Director of Day Services. Assists in the smooth transition of clients into competitive employment utilizing life skills and job training readiness. Participates in PCSP process as a team member. Enters daily case notes and completes log sheets for each client and tracks attendance. Responsible for tracking client productivity ratings per pay period.
Wage: $15.00 - $16.00/hour based on experience.
Physical Strength:
+ Lift -- push/pull while standing - up to 10 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes up to 50 pounds. Not every day, but occasionally over 50 pounds.
+ Carry -- push/pull while moving - up to 20 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes up to 100 pounds.
