Summary/Objective:
Reporting to the Community Employment Manager, the Employment Training Specialist provides comprehensive searches in job placement activities. These include, but are not limited to job coaching, job placement, follow-through and review.
Essential Functions:
+ Responsible for the implementation of the Community Employment Program.
+ Develop employment work sites with business and industry.
+ Initiate agreements with businesses and industries on the basis of their needs and the capability to meet those needs through the Community Employment Program.
+ Coordinate problem solving activities with referring agencies and seek necessary technical assistance to maintain employment.
+ Be responsible for monthly documentation as required by Vocational Rehabilitation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Social Service, Special Education or other related fields preferred, but not required. Will substitute 6 months of experience for every semester of college.
Pay starting at $17.00/hour.
Physical Strength:
+ Lift -- push/pull while standing - up to 10 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes 10-50 pounds. Rarely over 50 pounds.
+ Carry -- push/pull while moving - up to 20 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes 20-50 pounds. Rarely over 50 pounds.
