    Year End Bonus:

    To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

    Required Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or its equivalent

    + 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment

    + Knowledge of Publix’s part procurement practices

    + Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics for all equipment and systems

    + Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot

    + Ability to multi-task and demonstrate time management skills (plan, organize and follow-through on tasks)

    + Project management skills and the ability to manage projects using time and resource management

    + Ability to teach others how to use manuals, blueprints, and schematics

    + Ability to analyze information and data

    + Interpersonal skills

    + Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format

    + Ability to work independently and be a self-starter

    + Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project

    + Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    + Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (SAP)

    + Knowledge of power and electrical systems and controls

    + Knowledge of manufacturing plant or distribution warehousing facilities

    + Knowledge of safety pertaining to construction and maintenance

    + Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations if working in a food manufacturing facility

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Knowledge of computer electronics, ladder logic, and electrical control systems, including programmable logic control systems. This also includes knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and high voltage equipment.
