    Job Summary:

    The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking full time Housekeeper 2 to maintain sanitation and cleanliness for our jail based competency restoration program which will be based onsite in Dodge County, Georgia.

    Job Description

    + Performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation, and cleanliness in facilities.

    + Maintains supplies as needed. Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment.

    + Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse. Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed.

    + Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition. Collects, sorts, launders, transports and distributes linens and uniforms.

    + Cleans and straightens assigned areas

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience working in an institutional/healthcare setting

    + One or more years working in housekeeping

    + Experience working as a LEAD or Supervisor

    One year of experience in related area of assignment OR One year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or position equivalent.
