Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships) The Technology Innovator position uses technology to create impactful and ongoing access to meaningful learning, and utilize instructional and technical support, as domain experts and solution providers to maximize the potential of technology for learning.
+ Prioritized Responsibilities:
+ Supporting the implementation and integration of district technology initiatives and curriculum technology components
+ Co-plan, model, and co-teach to support technology integration
+ Working with teachers on Individual Technology Plans
+ Providing small and whole group professional learning to support technology integration (to include Technology Boot Camp)
+ Actively engage in professional learning around educational technology and classroom integration best practices to building personal capacity to share with peers
+ Additional Responsibilities:
+ Plan professional learning for individual, small group, and whole staff
+ Attend BSAT meetings in HOME buildings
+ Actions from Building Growing Excellence Plans
+ Data analysis/reporting of data
+ Communications/scheduling/follow up
+ Engage in the problem solving process for technology
+ Attend and participate in regular PLCs and other district wide teams related to technology
+ Support the implementation of Davenport’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and DCSD High Priority Initiatives for both behavior and academics.
+ Perform other duties as assigned
+ Additional contract 8 days with $5,000 stipend
+ 3 years of experience teaching (required)
+ At least one year teaching in Davenport Community Schools
+ Relevant experience in the elementary field desired.
+ The successful candidate, if internal, (will) (or may be asked to) remain in their current position until it is filled before making the full transition to the hired TLCS position.
+ Relevant experience in the elementary field desired.
+ Endorsement required: Must hold an Iowa Teaching Certificate in any area K-12.
+ Relevant experience with technology integration instruction required.
+ Although the position begins July 1st, the successful candidate (will) (or may be asked to) remain in their current position until it is filled before making the full transition to the hired position.
