Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description

We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves providing top-notch patient care while maintaining efficiency in both clinical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients and guests.

Responsibilities

+ Greet and assist patients and other guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.

+ Register arriving patients in the EMR following existing protocols.

+ Room patients and provide triage services, including vital signs, review of symptoms, and chief complaint in an electronic medical record (EMR).

+ Accurately record patient information such as vital signs, review of systems, and chief complaint in an electronic medical record (EMR).

+ Demonstrate proficiency in the full range of medical assisting skills, including collecting urine samples.

+ Function as both a front office and back office clinical team member, depending on daily assignment.

+ Perform all assigned duties of the host or clinical daily responsibilities checklist for opening, shift, and closing of the center.

+ Clean and stage exam and procedure suites between patient occupancy.

+ Process cash and credit payments for services.

+ Perform regular and accurate inventory of medical supplies and process orders.

+ Re-stock shelves and suites when supply orders are received.

+ Perform administrative tasks such as composing and responding to emails, answering and making phone calls, etc.

+ Assist new associates in training as requested.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in medical assisting.

+ Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

+ Previous experience as a Medical Assistant.

+ Ability to greet and assist patients effectively.

+ Experience in patient care and appointment scheduling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma required.

Work Environment

The Medical Assistant will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with travel to Granite City every Tuesday. The Granite City location is Suite 15, Granite City, IL. This role requires adaptability to work across different centers within the market.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
