Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Responsible for applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. The role involves investigating and solving problems related to tooling, equipment, and processes. The engineer will analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layouts for equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Investigate and solve problems related to tooling, equipment, and processes.
+ Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow.
+ Design layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
+ Develop, recommend, and implement changes to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
+ Assist the Process Line Manager in developing capital and expense budgets.
+ Evaluate new products and make recommendations relative to manufacturing feasibility.
+ Train department personnel in safety, setup, operations, and troubleshooting of existing and new equipment.
+ Estimate production rates, setup, and tooling costs for inquiries and new part setups.
+ Specialize in a skill set such as PLC programming, welding, automation, or vision systems as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with the plant’s safety policy and legal requirements.
+ Support and conform to procedures consistent with ISO standards.
+ Provide support as requested by the supervisor.
+ Demonstrate problem-solving skills on the shop floor.
+ Exhibit a sense of urgency and results-oriented attitude.
+ Show evidence of leadership characteristics.
+ Apply extensive knowledge and practical applications of Lean techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in a related engineering field
+ 5 or more years of related experience
+ Experience working in a high-speed manufacturing environment
+ Experience with compression or injection molding
+ Understanding of rubber molds and mold maintenance
+ Knowledge of mold release spray and hydraulic press operations
+ Technical skills in resolving scrap issues and process adjustments
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
