We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting dermatologists and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.
Responsibilities
+ Room patients and document all vital information.
+ Scribe information for the dermatologist.
+ Provide post-operative wound care to patients.
+ Draw blood and remove sutures.
+ Clean and stock exam rooms.
+ Schedule patient appointments.
+ Assist dermatologists with surgical photographs, biopsies, and patch testing.
Essential Skills
+ Active CMA certification.
+ Several years of hands-on experience as a Medical Assistant.
+ High School Diploma.
+ 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred.
+ Current state certifications, licenses, and/or registrations.
+ Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems.
+ Strong organizational and communication skills.
+ Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors.
+ Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse is strongly preferred.
+ Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
Work Environment
This position offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must be able to travel to satellite clinics in Ft. Madison and Mt. Pleasant 1-2 days per week, which are approximately 30 minutes away from Burlington. The role requires a professional attire suitable for a medical environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
