    Job Title: CMM ProgrammerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a talented CMM Programmer to develop inspection processes, create CMM programs, and assist production inspection staff in effectively operating CMMs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CMM programming and a strong understanding of inspection processes, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and quality assurance in manufacturing environments.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret engineering drawings and symbols, including GD&T (ASME Y14.5).

    + Perform precise dimensional inspections and analyze measurement data to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

    + Support dimensional inspection on various parts and tools using contact and non-contact sensors on CMMs to verify conformance.

    + Conduct capability studies and Gauge R&R to improve measurement reliability.

    + Troubleshoot CMM programs and resolve measurement issues.

    + Collaborate closely with other departments and people while being the sole programmer on-site, ensuring technical proficiency.

    + Train and mentor junior team members on CMM programming, operation, and troubleshooting.

    + Balance simultaneous projects while meeting assigned timelines, demonstrating strong project management skills.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 15 years of quality inspection experience.

    + Minimum of 5 years of CMM programming experience.

    + Minimum of 5 years of CAD experience, with the ability to navigate and edit within CAD.

    + Experience working in a Calibration Lab.

    + GD&T experience.

    + Experience with IS9000 or AS9100 standards.

    + U.S. citizenship required to handle sensitive data for government and military programs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Aerospace Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) / FAA Repair Station experience.

    + Associate degree or higher in a STEM field.

    + Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).

    + Experience with Siemens NX CAD Software.

    + Experience with LK Metrology CAMIO CMM Software.

    + Experience with Faro CMM Arms and Polyworks Inspector.

    + GD&T (ASME Y14.5) experience.

    + PAPP experience.

    + Experience with ISO17025 and A2LA standards.

    + Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience with continuous improvement programs.

    + Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    + Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft O365 suite.

    Work Environment

    The position offers a dynamic work environment within a global organization with facilities in Lansing and Holt. Employees start between 7-8am and work 9-hour days, Monday through Friday, totaling a 45-hour work week. Employees receive 15 days of paid time off annually.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
