Job Title: Asbestos Investigator

Position Summary:Seeking a qualified and motivated Asbestos Investigator to join our Environmental Services team in New York City.Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee conduction of asbestos inspections and surveys in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
+ Collect bulk and air samples for laboratory analysis.
+ Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, including site sketches, sample logs, and regulatory documentation.
+ Ensure compliance with NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), OSHA, and EPA regulations.
+ Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
+ Maintain accurate field notes and documentation.
+ Use field equipment such as air sampling pumps and microscopes.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
+ Valid NYC Asbestos Investigator Certificationrequired.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in asbestos inspection or environmental consulting.
+ Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local asbestos regulations.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Work Environment
Join a dynamic team of 10-15 Environmental Scientists and Inspectors working on NYC Agency Projects. The position is based in a great office located in Midtown, New York, and involves overseeing sampling in the field. You will be reporting to the Field Supervising Manager. Enjoy growth opportunities to become a supervisor and learn from senior staff with extensive experience. Additional certifications needed during your first week of training will be covered.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $67.30/hr.
