Medical Assistant
Job Description
The role involves rooming patients, assisting providers, preparing and maintaining examination and treatment rooms, cleaning equipment, and possibly answering phones. You will be responsible for rooming up to 25 patients per day.
Responsibilities
+ Room patients efficiently and effectively, ensuring comfort and care.
+ Assist healthcare providers during examinations and treatments.
+ Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
+ Clean medical equipment and ensure proper functioning.
+ Possibly manage phone calls and patient inquiries.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in rooming patients and charting in medical records.
+ Knowledge and experience in medical assisting.
+ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with completion of a state-approved LPN program.
+ Medical Assistant Diploma (certification not required).
+ Licensure up to date with the Board of Nursing.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
+ Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours typically from 7:30 AM to 4:15 PM, depending on the location.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
