    Position Status: Full-Time & Part-Time

     

    Upstate Community Medical, PC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Nurse- Midwife (CNM) or Certified Midwife (CM) to join our growing OBG Hospitalist team. Our OBG Hospitalist team, comprised of physicians and CNM’s, is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, and are looking for a CNM/CM who is passionate about supporting women’s health and delivering exceptional care in the hospital setting at Upstate Community Hospital.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide comprehensive obstetrical care for patients in the hospital setting, including labor and delivery and postpartum.

    + Collaborate with OBG physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

    + Attend deliveries, including vaginal births and cesarean sections as a first assistant, as needed.

    + Conduct routine and emergency assessments, including physical exams, diagnostic tests, and patient history.

    + Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

    + Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with UCM and UUH policies and procedures.

    + Engage in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with best practices in obstetrical care.

    Qualifications:

    + Certification as a Nurse-Midwife (CNM) or Midwife (CM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).

    + Valid NYS RN and CNM license for CNMs or a CM license

    + Minimum of 2-3 years of experience preferred in a hospital setting, with a focus on labor and delivery.

    + Strong clinical skills

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

    + Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with EPIC.

    + Additional certifications or training in fetal monitoring and cesarean first assist is preferred.
