Job Title: Energy AuditorJob Description
We are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer with over three years of experience, focusing on auditing systems within existing buildings and analyzing trends. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial building energy performance, including energy auditing, data analysis, and a thorough understanding of HVAC, lighting, and control systems. Additionally, experience with energy bin calculations and knowledge of local utility rate structures and incentive programs is advantageous.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct energy audits for existing commercial buildings.
+ Analyze data from HVAC, lighting, and control systems.
+ Perform energy bin calculations and interpret results.
+ Understand and apply local utility rate structures and incentive programs.
+ Model building energy performance using specialized software.
+ Ensure compliance with Clean Building Performance Standards (CBPS) and ASHRAE Levels 1-3.
+ Analyze utility rates and trends to identify energy savings opportunities.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical and energy engineering expertise.
+ Proficiency in building energy modeling and auditing software.
+ 1-3+ years of experience in energy modeling and sustainability.
+ Knowledge of ASHRAE Levels 1-3 and CBPS.
+ Experience with energy systems, HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with local rate structures and incentive programs is a plus.
+ Understanding of data analytics and end-use analysis.
+ Familiarity with measurement and verification, and/or commissioning.
Work Environment
Begin by working five days a week in the office for the first month or two to become familiar with the team. After this period, there is flexibility with most of the team working three days a week in the office and two days remotely. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
