We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to support development efforts on a Navy program, focusing on Ethernet switch integration and Linux-based system configuration. This role is essential for mitigating program risk and ensuring on-time delivery for upcoming software releases.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain embedded software for Ethernet switch devices, with emphasis on the VPX3-655.
+ Configure and manage Linux-based systems, particularly RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
+ Write and maintain C/C++ code that communicates with networking devices using libsnmp.
+ Integrate and manage Linux packages relevant to embedded networking applications.
+ Set up and test networking devices in a Linux environment.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets system requirements and delivery timelines.
+ Utilize tools such as git for version control and gcc for compiling code.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience in embedded software development.
+ Strong understanding of Ethernet switch technologies; experience with VPX3-655 is highly desirable.
+ Proficiency in Linux system configuration and administration, especially RHEL.
+ Experience with SNMP communication in Linux using libsnmp.
+ Proficient in C/C++ programming in a Linux environment.
+ Familiarity with Linux package management and system-level debugging.
+ Experience using git and gcc in a collaborative development environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience working on DoD or Navy programs.
+ Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware-software integration.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
