    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in aerospace or avionics manufacturing environments. This role is hands-on and lab-based, requiring a strong understanding of ISO and AS9100/AS9115 standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams to ensure software quality, compliance, and performance on real aerospace hardware.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain software quality assurance plans aligned with AS9100, AS9115, and ISO standards.

    + Review software requirements for clarity, completeness, and testability.

    + Perform hands-on testing in lab environments, including hardware/software integration.

    + Participate in software builds, flight software qualification, and system-level testing.

    + Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective action processes.

    + Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and internal procedures.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify software functionality and reliability.

    + Report quality metrics, risks, and progress to management.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

    + 2–3 years of experience in software QA or software engineering.

    + Must have direct experience in aerospace or avionics manufacturing environments.

    + Proven experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9115 standards.

    + Hands-on experience in lab environments with aerospace-grade hardware.

    + Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

    + U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for ITAR compliance).

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.

    + Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

    + Prior experience with flight software or embedded systems.

    Work Environment

    + Fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.

    + Reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

    + Minimal supervision; high level of autonomy expected.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
