Description
Your main role will be utilizing your clinical skills to complete utilization management reviews (Prior authorizations, Coverage Exceptions, Quantity Limit exceptions, and more). You will complete these reviews independently amongst a team of your peers and other pharmacy professionals.
Responsibilities:
+ Act as liaison for specific clinical pharmacy programs in tandem with key internal business partners. Programs may include clinical portions of internal and external client planning documents and/or clinical initiatives.
+ Support and resolve pharmacy related member-specific issues to include contacting members and/or providers as needed to support resolution.
+ Utilize prescription and medical claim data to conduct comprehensive medication reviews and generate clinical recommendations.
+ Follow through with the provider and/or member on recommendations to assure achievement of the desired outcome.
+ Work with pharmacies, prescribers, and members to get scripts re-written to match use patterns.
+ Contact members regarding soon-to-fill prescriptions based on member history.
+ Contact pharmacies on reject patterns as identified through data analysis.
+ Provide clinical recommendations pertaining to, but not limited to, gaps in care, medication adherence, drug interactions, therapeutic substitution, and generic substitution.
+ Identify and implement care management, cost management and process improvement opportunities.
+ Use pharmacy and medical claims data to identify high risk members and intervene with members and providers as needed to resolve drug therapy issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent
+ Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy in the State where the candidate is licensed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
