Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This role involves routine quality control monitoring and testing, completion of quality production records, pulling material samples, managing the shipment process, and providing inventory control support. The Quality Assurance Technician will work closely with the Quality group to monitor production, release products, develop new products, and support production and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

+ Routine Quality Control monitoring and testing

+ Completion of quality production records

+ Pulling material samples and managing the shipment process

+ Inventory control support

+ Material labeling

+ QA test data entry through our ERP system

+ Assisting with production changeover

+ Assisting with regulatory documents

+ Assisting with validation and investigation testing

+ Quality sign-off on transload processes

+ Weekly equipment checks

+ Assisting with equipment internal calibrations

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 4-year degree in Engineering or Applied Science

+ Good judgment and diplomacy

+ Very strong computer skills

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

+ Attention to detail

+ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

+ Independent self-starter

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Preferred experience with Quality Control

+ Experience in a lab and production environment

Work Environment

+ The work environment is a manufacturing setting that is non-climate controlled but comfortable.

+ The role requires working in both lab and production environments.

+ This will be a 3rd shift position: 6pm-4:30am, Monday-Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
