Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate APQP activities for new product introductions and engineering revisions, ensuring alignment with both domestic and international customer requirements (e.g., AIG, VDMA).
• Collaborate closely with Product Engineers, Inspectors, and cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality plans across the product lifecycle—from early development to pre-production and production.
• Prepare and submit PPAP documentation tailored to customer-specific requirements.
• Develop and maintain Control Plans, FMEAs, Process Flows, and Inspection Instructions.
• Interpret and walk through technical drawings and specifications, including GD&T and GPS standards.
• Support and lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) in response to customer complaints and internal findings.
• Operate and support CMM programming and inspection (Zeiss, Calypso) and other standard measuring equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, contributing to the upcoming 2026 recertification.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and uphold strong data ethics and documentation control.
• Participate in internal and external audits and support audit readiness.
Day-to-Day Activities:
• Facilitate daily collaboration with Product Engineers and Inspectors.
• Plan and incorporate inspection and test routines for products nearing production.
• Evaluate and prioritize multiple projects in the pipeline, adapting responsibilities based on candidate strengths.
• Use statistical tools and data analysis to monitor and improve product quality.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (required).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
• Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and quality core tools.
• Experience with metal stamping, metal processing, or assembly is a plus.
• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and applying GD&T and GPS standards.
• Hands-on experience with CMM equipment and Zeiss Calypso software preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and documentation practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis tools is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
