About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support the design and implementation of automated conveyor systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong experience in PLC programming, control panel design, and system integration in industrial automation environments.
Key Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, and implement control systems for automated conveyor equipment.
+ Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff) using ladder logic and structured text.
+ Develop and interpret electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
+ Conduct system integration, testing (FAT/SAT), and commissioning at client sites.
+ Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to ensure seamless system performance.
+ Ensure compliance with safety standards (ISO 13849-1/2, EN 60204-1) and industry regulations.
+ Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
+ 3+ years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming (Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal).
+ Experience with VFDs, servo systems, HMI, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP).
+ Familiarity with instrumentation, sensors, and control panel design.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and diagnostic tools.
Preferred Experience
+ Experience with conveyor systems in manufacturing or logistics environments.
+ Knowledge of safety system design and risk assessments (FMEA, FMECA).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.00/hr.
